Colors in Fading
they didn't see me the same, I was there a little darker with a wider smile
ashes on ashes, jokes on jokes thought after thought after thought it was still my voice a little louder a little paler

the crowd was fluorescent so I’ve been told the beer was apparently still of golden color the sky hadn’t lost pigment
we were there the kisses were still red
but that’s what happens that is what happened to me
after I had felt all of the color spectrum you offered everything turned a boring old black
